CECM ERUKUDI TAKES OVER THE TRADE DEPARTMENT.

The immediate former County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture, Livestock Development and Fisheries, David Erukudi, has taken over the Department of Trade, Enterprise, Cooperative, Gender and Youth Affairs.
This follows a recent reshuffle last week, in which CECM David Erukudi was moved from Agriculture to Trade. Elizabeth Loote replaced Dr. Francis Mariao, to take over Tourism, Culture, Natural Resources, and Climate Change docket. Dr. Mariao took over the Health Department while Dr Apalia moved from Health to Agriculture, Livestock Development and Fisheries Department.
The County Secretary, Peter Eripete, has been overseeing the day-long brief ceremonies.
After taking over, the incoming Trade Executive promised to drive the Governor’s Development Agenda through lobbying for additional allocation to the Youth, Women, Biashara, and Cooperative Development Funds to enhance support to SMEs in the County.
The outgoing CECM Loote, told her colleague to take into account the pending work on policy documents and a list of cooperatives awaiting registration.
Epuu Joseph (Chief Officer of Gender and Youth Affairs), Shemmy Ebulon (Director of Cooperatives) James Lokwale (Director of Trade), Hellen Emojo (Ag Director Gender), Ruth Esekon (Director of Administration) and Mark Lopwaru (Principal Administrator) were present to witness the handing over exercise.
