At least 200 eligible youth are set to benefit from a six-month internship program in Turkana after the County Government has rolled out an intern recruitment exercise for the FY’2023/2024.
The Ag. Chairperson of the County Public Service Board, Pauline Ekod, said the interns will be selected from a list of 607 applicants who made it to the final shortlist after receiving more than 1795 applications.
The interns will be identified through a suitability test to be administered by the Board from Wednesday, September 13th to 20th, 2023 at the Public Service Board Offices.
“The successful candidates will be deployed to various County Government offices to gain skills that will boost their technical and employability status over the period,” Chair Ekod said.
The initiative is in line with Governor Lomorukai’s Agenda on Education and youth inclusion through utilization of skills, to promote the development of Turkana into a more prosperous County.
This comes after the last team of interns left after their duration ended in May 2023 for the last FY’2022/2023.
