The Department of Tourism, Culture, and Heritage has today launched auditions of Miss Tourism Turkana County geared towards selecting the best candidate who will represent the face of tourism for the region.
The try-outs, which were held at Bishop Mahon Centre, Lodwar brought together 21 contestants drawn from all the Sub-counties, who turned up to seeking to represent the County for the Miss Tourism Crown.
So far, 16 of them have been given the green light to proceed with boot camp training to enhance their abilities in preparation for the grand finale during the Tourism and Cultural Festival.
Other than their good-looking features, the young models were also tested for their public speaking skills, general knowledge, and cat-walking techniques among others.
