TURKANA PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD CONCLUDES DEPUTY COUNTY SECRETARY, DEPUTY DIRECTOR’S INTERVIEWS

Turkana County Public Service Board has concluded interviews for the positions of Deputy County Secretary (Cabinet Affairs and Administration) and Various Deputy Directors in Turkana County.
A preliminary report on attendance indicates that 1 candidate missed the interview out of 8 shortlisted for the position of Deputy County Secretary.
However, some candidates were also absent from the interview process for Deputy and Assistant Director positions.
Additionally, the Board also concluded interviews with 6 Audit Committee Members, an important position meant to enhance compliance with the provisions of the Public Finance Management Act 2012.
The interviews follow the successful recruitment and appointment of 16 Directors last August 2023.
The Board has been keen on filling positions in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the smooth running of the County’s affairs.
The Ag. Board Chairperson, Pauline Ekod, expressed her satisfaction with the commitment of the Board, stating that they remained resilient despite the long hours of work.
She noted that the Board was psychologically prepared for the heavy workload.
“The successful candidates will be appointed after the Board completes its selection process,” chair Ekod said.
The panelists included the Board Members Maj. (Rtd) Dr Daniel Ingollan, Erastus Ngala, Edward Losinyono, and Vonwilly Etiir.
