PRESIDENT RUTO ARRIVES IN LODWAR, TO OPEN CULTURAL FESTIVAL

President William Ruto this evening arrived in Lodwar where he is expected to officiate the opening ceremony of the 7th Edition of the Festival, set to kick off tomorrow at Ekaales Centre.
The president was received by Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai and other leaders at the Lodwar Airstrip.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Celebrating our culture and heritage to promote tourism, peaceful coexistence, and green investment for an all-inclusive sustainable development.”
Other officials received by the Governor include Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Dr Alfred Mutua, Principal Secretaries Ummi Bashir (Culture, the Arts and Heritage) and Geoffrey Kaituko (Shipping and Maritime Affairs) as well as Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii.
