The County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Enterprise Development, Cooperatives, Gender and Youth Affairs, David Erukudi embarked on a tour of the Kakuma Biashara Centre to familiarize himself with the operations of the Business Development Centre.
This is his first official visit since taking the helm at the Department of Trade.
He promised to provide leadership in addressing administrative challenges that have inhibited optimal utilization of the business facility, including fast-tracking implementation of the operational plan.
Chief Officer for Trade, Enterprise Development and Cooperatives, Robert Loyelei pledged to liaise with his counterparts to see to it that staff deployed at the Centre report to their work stations with immediate effect.
The Biashara/Huduma Centre was commissioned in May 2023 by the Governor, under the private sector module.
This is part of the strategic objectives of the Kalobeyei Integrated Socio-economic Development Programme (KISEDP), which will make it easier for small business owners to access services and information from various government agencies under one roof.
Director of Trade, Industrialization and Enterprise Development, James Lokwale, Area MCA Hon. Eliud Emoni and KNCCI Chairman Justus Amoni accompanied the CECM during the visit.
