A delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD) met the Deputy Governor Dr John Erus in his office, to discuss the progress of the Green Mini-Grid Program (GMG) in Kenya.
The Regional Director, of AFD, Helene Ngarnim, led the team in presenting updates on the GMG; a project funded by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO ) and EU AITF aimed at developing 80 mini-grids across six counties in Kenya, set to conclude by March 31, 2024.

However, it was revealed that the project encountered a challenge with land issues, leading to a constrained timeline in utilizing allocated funds.
Dr Erus assured the delegation of the county’s commitment to resolving the land issue promptly.
