Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has arrived at the Moi Gardens Grounds in Lodwar to lead celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of Jamhuri Day. Today’s celebration theme is “Youth, Creative Economy, and Sports.”

The Governor is accompanied by First Lady Lillian Komudei Ekamais, County Commissioner Jacob Ouma, and Deputy Governor Dr. John Erus.

Leaders attending the ceremony include Turkana Central MP Emathe Namuar, Woman Representative Cecilia Ngitit, MCAs Ruth Kuya (Lodwar Township), James Ikeny (Kanamkemer), Vincent Ekipor (Lokichoggio), and Mary Arupe (nominated).

Senior County Government officials present include Deputy County Secretary Joseph Nyang’a, County Executives Dr. Michael Eregae (Finance), Leah Audan (Education), Faith Aletea (Water Services), several Chief Officers, and Directors.
