Outgoing CECM Wangiros expressed his confidence in Dr Mariao’s ability to lead the Department to greater heights. As he welcomed him to the new role, CECM Wangiros promised to offer his support during the transition process.

Similarly, as the outgoing health county executive, Dr Mariao, thanked the team for their support and urged the new CECM, Wangiros, to continue finding ways to improve referral medical services.

As the incoming CECM, Wangiros James expressed his commitment to maintaining an open-door policy and to work towards achieving the health goals in line with the Governor’s nine-point agenda.

In a similar handover ceremony, Dr. Mario Eris officially takes over as the County Executive for Public service, Administration and Disaster Management from Mr. Wangiros James.

On the other hand, Faith Aletia has handed over the Roads, Public Works, and Transport docket to Peter Akono, taking up the Lands, Physical Planning, and Urban Areas Management portfolio as the new CECM.
