More than 3,000 people in Kalokol benefited from a free medical camp organized by the Turkana County Department of Health and Sanitation and the M-Pesa Foundation.
The camp provided health check-ups, cancer screening, and treatment to residents of the area.
County Executive for Health and Sanitation, Long’ole Wang’iros, commended the M-Pesa Foundation for its commitment to improving access to healthcare in marginalized communities.
Safaricom Trustee Officer, Nick Kamunyu, announced that 30 residents would be registered with the Social Health Authority (SHA) to receive medical care for a year.
