GOVERNOR LOMORUKAI COMMISSIONS NAKORET DISPENSARY, CALLS FOR UNITY OF PURPOSE

Nakoret, 15th November 2024 (Governor’s Press Service)—Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has underscored the value of unity and service over divisive politics, declaring that, there’s life after politics.
He said this yesterday while commissioning Nakoret Dispensary, a project set to transform healthcare for over 5,000 residents of Nakoret and its environs.

Highlighting its significance, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing impactful projects over political grandstanding.

Additionally, he successfully mediated reconciliation between Hon. Lodepe and Hon. Namuar, setting a tone of collaboration for Turkana County’s leadership.

Speaking at the event, Women Representative Cecilia Ng’itit condemned divisive politics, calling it a major obstacle to service delivery. Echoing this sentiment, Turkana Central MP Emathe Namuar urged Kerio residents to reject political rivalry. His efforts to mediate differences between former and current area MCAs bore fruit as the two leaders buried the hatchet in the spirit of unity.

Turkana East MP Nicholas Ng’kolong added weight to the discourse, urging leaders to focus on development rather than premature politicking.

Former Turkana Central MP John Lodepe lauded Governor Lomorukai’s inclusive leadership, a hallmark that continues to foster peace and cooperation across the County.

Senior County Government staff accompanying the Governor included Long’ole James (Agriculture CECM), County Chief Officers Janerose Tioko (Preventive and Promotive), Ezekiel Etelej (Medical Services), Pauline Tang’arae (Trade), Marian Lotieng (Agriculture), Dr.Gilchrist Lokoel (Livestock) and Ekalale Imoni (Climate change).

Chief of Staff Peter Loyapan and a host of Directors were also present.
