RECRUITMENT COMMENCES FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF COUNTY SECRETARY, CPSB CHAIR

The recruitment process for the appointment of the County Secretary and Head of Public Service, as well as the Chairperson of the County Public Service Board (CPSB) commenced in Lodwar today.

At least 20 individuals have been shortlisted with the interviews scheduled for 10 days between February 17th and March 3rd, 2025, with a break in between.

The Chair of the Selection Panel, Peter Lolem noted that all scheduled interviews on the first day took place with 100% turnout, expressing optimism that all the shortlisted candidates will participate as scheduled.

“As indicated in the public notice, each candidate has been allocated up to one and a half hours to present their case before the panel, and we plan to conclude all interviews by 1pm daily,” said Peter Lolem.

The 5- member selection panel, including Concepta Longoli, Richard Emoru, Samson Omamo, and Ebongon Emuria, will begin with interviews for the county secretary position and conclude withCPSB chair recruitment.

The new County Secretary will be taking over from the retired CS Peter Eripete, the pioneer office holder who served with distinction for over a decade. Meanwhile, the incoming CPSB Chair will be taking over from Dr. John Ngasike.

The shortlisted candidates for the County Secretary position include Dr. Ingollan Daniel Nawose, Dr. Albert Gamoe Locham, Dr. Richard Titus Ekai, Dr. Peter Lokomar, Mr. Moses Erus, Mr. Loyelei Robert Bob, Mr. Christopher Aletia Imana, Mrs Jane Apetet Nashida, Mr. Emoni Jeremiah Ngimoe and Mr. Zacheus Okoth Oketch.

The shortlisted candidates for the position of Chair, CPSB, include Prof. Michael Lokuruka, Prof Imana Malachy Charles Ekal, Dr. Joshua Lemuya, Dr. Mathew Edung Etabo, Dr. Pauline Akiru, Mr. Cosmas Ekidor Namaa, Mr. Mahamud Abdillahi Alinoor, Mr. Peter Ekunyuk, Mr. James Ali Ome and Mr. Joseph Elim Jumapili.
