A multi-departmental team from the County Government has inspected the ongoing beautification project of Lodwar town, urging the contractor to accelerate progress and ensure adherence to approved standards.

The inspection team, led by Engineer Ignatius Kopeto, comprised officials from the departments of Public Works, Urban Areas Management, and the Lodwar Municipality.

The officials identified areas requiring improvement and emphasized the need for timely delivery of the project.

Unveiled early this year, the project is part of efforts to upgrade the outlook of Lodwar through a distinctive Turkana Boy Statue to act as a landmark.

Other members of the inspection team included Amos Lokale (Project Engineer), Benjamin Tukei (Municipality Manager, Lodwar), and Mark Nasopo
