Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Turkana stand to benefit after Deputy Governor Dr. John Erus led the county government’s efforts in engaging with Ronalds LLP on partnerships for business growth and community empowerment.
The firm, a leading and renowned provider of business audit and advisory services, has built a reputation for assisting small-scale businesses navigate financing, market access, and other forms of linkages.
At a meeting with the firm’s Managing Partner, Ronald Bwosi, DG Erus said that Turkana was seeking to further enhance the environment for the growth of SMEs through such partnerships.
He added that efforts put in place over the last two years included creating a risk-sharing facility with local banks and building the capacity of business owners, with a focus on youth- and women-led businesses.
“The county is keen on ensuring residents get economically empowered through SMEs. We are therefore open to working with Ronalds LLP and other partners in achieving this goal,” DG Erus said.
Both parties expressed optimism that the talks will lead to practical outcomes once the partnership is rolled out.
