Johannesburg, South Africa, 25th September 2025 (Governor’s Press Service) – Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has been conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree by The HonorCrest Institute International in collaboration with The Business Executive Communications Group.

The award was presented at a ceremony held at Hotel Sandston in Johannesburg, South Africa, in recognition of the Governor’s outstanding leadership and contribution to society.

Dr. Baroness Kporo said Governor Lomorukai’s nomination was reviewed and endorsed by an international academic committee.

She described the honorary doctorate as a rare distinction reserved for exceptional leaders whose achievements have shaped communities and inspired progress across Africa and beyond.

“This rare distinction is more than an accolade: it is an affirmation of your impactful contribution to business, leadership, and society, placing you among an elite circle of transformative leaders recognized globally for driving positive change,” she said.

The Business Executive, described as Africa’s leading authority in celebrating leadership and excellence, partnered in the selection and recognition process.

The Governor expressed his joy for the recognition and thanked the organisers for the award. “I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition through the award. It inspires me to continue working tirelessly to build a better future for the residents of Turkana,” he said.

The Governor now joins a global community of leaders honoured for their influence in advancing development, strengthening institutions, and inspiring future generations.
