Newly appointed Chief Officer for Lodwar County Referral Hospital assumes office

Agnes Mana has now officially assumed duties as the first-ever Chief Officer for Lodwar County Referral Hospital (LCRH).

Presiding over the handover ceremony, the County Executive for Health and Sanitation, Dr Epem Joseph Esekon emphasized the importance of effective service delivery.

“Our mission is to serve the people effectively and efficiently. It is imperative that we all work together to achieve this goal,” said Dr Epem.

The Chief Officer Medical Services, Dr Gilchrist Lokoel, welcomed the new CCO, assuring her of his direcrorate’s support.

“We will continue to collectively work as a team to address the challenges ahead of us and present ourselves as change agents that Turkana needs,” he said.

Chief Officer for Preventive and Promotive, Janerose Tioko briefed the incoming chief officer on the achievements and gaps of the department.

“There are challenges in every working area, but together, we can work through them to improve health outcomes,” she said.

CCO Mana expressed gratitude and appreciated the leadership shown by the LCRH Director Nancy Kinyonge, who has been serving both roles. She stated that she looks forward to continued collaboration, aiming to offer support for effective management of the facility.

Kinyonge called on staff to extend the same support and teamwork spirit to the new chief officer towards improving the quality and standards at LCRH.

Present were the departments’ directors, deputy directors, and assistant directors led by Rebecca Alimlim (Director, Administration).
