The Nanam Team Lead, Juma Vitalis stated,”the support through local SACCOs will be provided to drought-affected farmers in order to rebuild their crop and livestock systems, and later in the process, adopt modern climate-smart technologies that will enhance their productivity.

The community meeting brought together representatives from Nanam, Mogila, Kapetadie and Lorau villages.

Later in the day, members formed Nanam Ward Community Driven Development Committee, where John Auren Lotukoi, Nangole Jibril and Aloch Emuria were elected Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

Afterwards, Lotukoi signed a memorandum of understanding with the county’s FSRP. The signing was witnessed by Nangole Alfred, the Ward Administrator.
