Outgoing Chief Officer Joseph Epuu expressed confidence in his successor, noting that the department remains in capable hands. He highlighted key milestones achieved during his tenure, including strengthening youth empowerment initiatives and mainstreaming gender in county programs.
“I am proud of the progress we have made as a team. I now hand over the responsibility with full confidence that the gains realized will be safeguarded and expanded further,” said Epuu.
Taking over the docket, Chief Officer Evans Lomodei committed to advancing the department’s agenda by enhancing youth empowerment programs and promoting inclusive gender policies. He emphasized collaboration and innovation as key drivers in achieving sustainable development.
“I am honored to take up this responsibility. My focus will be on strengthening existing programs while introducing innovative approaches that address the needs of our youth and ensure gender inclusivity across all sectors,” Lomodei stated.
