The Roads Department today handed over the Kaloboi-Nachuro-Kang’ataruk Road to the contractor for routine maintenance.

The road, which is 34.5Km long, is funded under the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF). Works to be done include heavy grading and light bush clearing.

While handing over the site, the supervising engineer Eng. Felix Nyongesa said the road serves as an important link for residents of Nachuro and Kang’ataruk villages.

He noted that once the works are complete, movement of people, goods and services in the area will be much easier and also asked residents and motorists to cooperate with the contractor.

Also present during the handover were Janet Bosibori, (Road Surveyor)and (Lewis Eyapan) Volunteer Engineer.

The Department calls on road users and residents along the stretch to cooperate with the team on site and to observe safety measures as works progress.

We remain committed to ensuring our roads are motorable and serve the people better.
