The Department of Roads has conducted a site inspection of the 19-kilometre Nariamawoi–Chibilet Road in Kalapata Ward following the completion of routine maintenance works funded through the County Ward Fund.

The maintenance works involved grading and bush clearing, aimed at restoring the road’s condition, improving accessibility and easing the movement of residents, motorists along the corridor.

As part of the project’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the contractor also undertook improvement works at Chibilet Dispensary, supporting better access to the health facility for the surrounding community.

The inspection was supervised by Engineer Emmanuel Amodoi, who commended the contractor for the work undertaken.

He noted that the intervention was necessary to restore the roads condition and improve connectivity.

He urged communities to cooperate with contractors during future road maintenance works, while encouraging contractors and project teams to take community concerns into consideration and engage residents before and during implementation.

The inspection team comprised Christopher Aposo (Roads Examiner), Engineer Emmanuel Amodoi (Roads Engineer), Peter Ekoyan (Accountant), and Margaret Lopeto (Procurement).
