While presenting the contract terms, Director of Legal Affairs Ekai Nabenyo explained that the new contracts are part of the formalisation process required by law.
“This is the regularisation of contracts under TUWASCO. The employees, like others in the county, are under the county government which fully owns the company,” he said.
For Rael Atyang, 30 years old, Meter Reader from the Technical Department, stated that the signing of contracts under TUWASCO was a positive step forward.
“It will bring assure that staff are legally recognized and confirmed in the new company setup. This will likely improve service delivery,” she said.
