Following a sensitization forum for county and sub-county health management teams to introduce the new iMonitor Application by World relief, at least 32 peer monitors from various sub-counties have also now been empowered to utilise the same tool.

Acting as the digital version of Suggestion Box, this anonymous tool is meant to enhance service delivery, increase community engagement and surveillance, and ensure timely response and accountability.

The three-day day training supported by Amref Health Africa, enabled peer monitors from over 200 key vulnerable communities, gain skills on real-time data collection and monitoring, identifying service delivery gaps, responsibly escalate and advocate for improvements within the health system.

Speaking at the meeting, Samuel Pulkol, County AIDS and STI Coordinator, highlighted that through the tool, communities affected by diseases burden such as HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria will now be empowered to monitor the quality of health services provided and advocate for improvements towards better health outcomes.

“Through this participatory approach, the community health actors can actively track accessibility gaps and quality of services rendered,” he said.

He added that there is a need to showcase how CLM-generated data can be used to advocate for areas of improvement to affected communities.

Abraham Esekon, Project Coordinator, TB project at World Relief, mentioned that through locally led interventions and collaborative efforts with communities, will promote accountability, improve pandemic preparedness and response, and drive lasting change in health service delivery.

Peer monitors are expected to use the iMonitor reporting tool to prioritise action points to improve accessibility, accountability, and responsiveness of health services at the grassroot level.
