Change of guard at the Department for Strategic Delivery, ICT, and E-Government

Deputy County Secretary Joseph Nyang’a presided over a change of guard ceremony at the Department of Strategic Delivery, ICT and E-Government, following last week’s reassignment of County Chief Officers by Governor Dr. Jeremiah Lomorukai.

The Outgoing Chief Officer Peter Ikaru officially handed over to the incoming Chief Officer, Cecilia Majuma.

Ikaru has been transferred to the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, while Majuma, who previously served as Chief Officer for Roads and Transport, now takes over the leadership of the department.In his remarks, Ikaru thanked officers in the department for their teamwork and support during his tenure.

He expressed confidence that the incoming chief officer would find a capable and dedicated team committed to delivering on the county’s service delivery agenda.

On her part, Majuma appreciated the efforts of the department’s staff and pledged to work closely with them to sustain progress.

She noted that she was eager to learn and collaborate with the team to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Deputy County Secretary Nyang’a commended both officers for their service and dedication, emphasizing that changes in government are a normal part of improving performance. He urged staff to work in unity and strengthen communication, coordination, and collaboration within the department.

He further encouraged the officers to support Governor Lomorukai’s development agenda and serve as good ambassadors of the County Government in their interactions with the public.

Present were Chief Officer, Office of the Governor Moses Korea, ICT Director Isaac Eregae, Deputy Director for ICT Echwa Richard, Assistant Director for Strategic Delivery Unit (SDU) Francis Abongo, and Chief Economist Joshua Erot.
