The County Government is shifting into high gear as preparations intensify for the 12th edition KICOSCA Games, slated for 23rd to 29th November 2025 in Siaya County. The annual tournament will see Turkana face off against teams from more than 40 counties in a variety of sporting disciplines.

Turkana County’s contingent features squads in men’s football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball, pool, darts, scrabble, and table tennis.

Chief Officer for Sports and Vocational training Robert Loyelei while addressing team captains expressed confidence in the players’ readiness, calling for thorough and strategic preparations.

He also emphasized on the need for discipline among the players.

“We expect to send a strong disciplined team to deliver the results our people expect,” he said.

Deputy Director for Sports, Jackson Nakusa, echoed the optimism, noting the need for team work, discipline and fitness.

“With the work we’ve put in, we believe we’re set to produce incredible results,” he said.

With spirits high and training in top gear, Turkana County is poised to make a bold statement at the 2025 KICOSCA Games having won the Men’s basketball final in Mumias, Kakamega County last year.

The teams are expected to leave for the tournament on Saturday 22nd November 2025 ahead of the opening ceremony on Sunday the 23rd .
