Boost for peace program as County, DCA ropes in new local implementing partner

County Government and the Danish Church Aid (DCA), the joint implementors of the Strengthening Peace, Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction (SPREAD) have roped in TUPADO to serve as the new local implementing partner.

The development follows a consultative meeting hosted by Deputy Governor Dr John Erus where collaboration modalities to guide projects implementation were discussed.

County Secretary Dr. Richard Ekai, Chief Officer Partnerships Janerose Tioko, DCA country director Karen Poore, TUPADO executive director Samuel Ekai, SPREAD consortium manager Richard Onyancha and project Coordinator Irene kibon and, County Director for Peace and Conflict Management Titus Lokorikeju participated in the deliberations.

SPREAD project is a cross border initiative implemented in Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia with a focus on peace building and strengthening the resilience of communities affected by conflict and climate change.
