County conducts FLOCCA audit review

County Government, through the Office of Climate Change, held a consultative meeting to review report of the recent audit review of the FLOCCA project across the County.

Chaired by the Chief Officer for Climate Change Joseph Ekalale, the technical officers made presentations of their findings detailing success and gaps requiring action in structured report with completion rates, adherence to guidelines and community impact.

In his address, Chief Ekalale emphasized the need for audit reports that provide full information on financial management, timelines of the project execution and adherence to the climate change framework.

He noted that continuous monitoring and regular audit visits are essential to ensuring that projects deliver tangible and measurable benefits to residents.

“The County remains committed to strengthening climate action initiatives and safeguarding public investments to ensure accountable, transparent and sustainable impact for present and future generations,” he said.

Also present during the meeting were Molo Huqa (Special Environmentalist), Reinhard Wanjala, (Project Engineer), Ekadeli Erot (Environmental Safeguard Officer) and Grace Lotoom (Social Safeguard Officer).
