TUWASCO receives CRS motorcycles to ease operations

Turkana Urban water and Sanitation Company (TUWASCO) Has received five motorcycles from Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to ease operations.

The motorbikes are expectedly to significantly improve field operations, supervision, and rapid response to water service needs across Turkana.

Presiding over the event, Willyjustus Elim Akwalata, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Water Services, noted that the motorbikes will enhance mobility for technical teams, reduce response time, and improve overall efficiency in service delivery by Technical staff in the company.

County Executive Committee Member appreciated CRS for the timely support, saying the donation demonstrates a strong partnership in improving access to clean and reliable water for the people of Turkana. He emphasized that enhanced logistics directly translate to better maintenance, monitoring, and customer support.

The CRS manager, Turkana, urged TUWASCO to ensure proper maintenance of the motorbikes so they can serve the community for a longer period and deliver maximum impact.

The event was also attended by the Managing Directors of Turkana Rural Water and Sanitation Company (TURWASCO) mr. Aron Kokiro and mr. Samuel Ekaran for TUWASCO, reaffirming collaboration among key water service providers in the county.
