Kakuma, June 9th, 2026 (Public Communication and Media Relations)

The Kakuma Municipal Manager Eng Benjamin Tukei held his first staff meeting, where he identified formation of a functional website to support service delivery as a top priority.

Addressing staff, Tukei urged officers to focus on service delivery, urging them to support the journey towards digitization of services offered on online platforms.

“In order to place Kakuma in the list of best performing urban centres in Kenya and beyond, there is need for us to establish a functional website that supports digitization of processes and provision of online services to the local population,” he said.

The manager also used the meeting to share an elaborate plan for capacity empowerment of staff through specialized and on the job trainings.

“Over and above digitization and capacity building of staff, I plan to reach out to stakeholders through a series of coordinated engagements on bettering the current standards of service delivery,” he said.

During the meeting, he received briefs from head of units and sections.
