Kalokok–Lororonyit Road Project Passes Final Inspection in Kibish

The County Department of Roads has successfully conducted the final inspection of the 20 Kilometres Kalokok–Lororonyit Road project in Koyasa, Kibish Ward, marking a key milestone in efforts to improve connectivity within the area.

The inspection brought together the project engineer, contractor, monitoring and evaluation officers, procurement and accounting representatives, and other stakeholders to assess the completed works and verify compliance with project specifications.

The team confirmed successful completion of the project, which included installation of two publicity signboards, site clearance over 80,000 square metres, and grading works covering 150,000 square metres.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Benson Ekidor commended the contractor for completing the works within the stipulated timeframe.

Procurement officer Betty Lokwang also expressed satisfaction with the quality of work, noting that no issues were identified during the inspection.

The Project Engineer Johnmark Eregae directed the contractor to submit a detailed list of equipment and personnel deployed during the implementation period for record-keeping purposes.

Speaking during the meeting, the contractor acknowledged the observations made by the inspection team and appreciated the timely guidance and support provided by the project engineer and the supervision team, noting that the conducive working environment contributed significantly to the timely completion of the project.

According to Eregae, the Kalokok–Lororonyit Road will significantly improve accessibility within Kibish Ward by easing the movement of people, goods, and services.

The improved road is expected to enhance access to markets, schools, healthcare facilities, and other essential services, contributing to the area’s socio-economic development.
