The Agriculture, Livestock Development, and Fisheries County Executive, Dr. Anthony Apalia, hosted officials from the State Department of Agriculture to discuss ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of agro-pastoral production systems in the county.
The delegation, led by Eng. Kennedy Makudiuh, outlined the national government’s interventions involved in the Building Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security (BREFONS) project management and coordination.
Chief Officer Jane Rose Tioko noted that such visits afford valuable opportunities to discuss strategies for supporting agribusiness development within pastoral livelihoods and enhancing adaptive capacity to nutrition challenges.
