Land stakeholders, from county and national government, held a consultative meeting with National Land Commission (NLC) and Alternative Justice Service (AJS), aimed to address land-related issues.

The meeting brought together staff from the Office of the County Attorney, Court system of Kenya and land administrators to improve effective strategies of handling land management conflicts.

The meeting served as a platform to foster coordination, communication and cooperation among different entities involved in land management, governance and justice administration.

Speaking during the meeting, the County Executive for Lands and Physical planning, Faith Aletia highlighted the joint effort from all stakeholders and called for collaboration to end land disputes, land ownership and land management.

The National Land Commission’s County Coordinator, Mark Ewesit, emphasized that such meetings brought together expertise in the consultative round table to discuss and address the pressing land issues.

“When we align our efforts together to solve land issues affecting our community, then we are working towards good administrative governance,” said Ewesit.
